as the title suggests - I spend hours on this one trying to work out what I was doing wrong - turns out as soon as I disabled the URL provider the Google Plus 1 button seems to work. When enabled I get an error when trying to plus one, it goes red with a !. Chrome gives me the following error when I check the console errors:

Unsafe JavaScript attempt to access frame with URL http://www.gentex.com.au/info-cente...or-the-web" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.gentex.com.au/info-cente...or-the-web from frame with URL https://plusone.google.com/_/+1/confirm?hl=en-US&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gentex.com.au%2Finfo-center%2Fblog%2Fgentexs-web-blog%2Fcross-browser-custom-fonts-for-the-web&t=1316945326799&referer=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gentex.com.au%2Finfo-center%2Fblog%2Fgentexs-web-blog%2Fcross-browser-custom-fonts-for-the-web&jsh=r%3Bgc%2F23980661-3686120e#id=I3_1316945330432&parent=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gentex.com.au&rpctoken=322672764&_methods=mouseEvent%2C_onopen%2C_ready%2C_onclose%2C_close%2C_open%2C_resizeMe. Domains, protocols and ports must match.

Here is the URL you can try it on to see for yourself.

How can we fix this?

Well, the problem is that we cannot reproduce the issue.
It works correctly for us:

as did I

just this to be exact:

<!-- Place this tag where you want the +1 button to render -->
<g:plusone annotation="inline"></g:plusone>

<!-- Place this render call where appropriate -->
<script type="text/javascript">
(function() {
var po = document.createElement('script'); po.type = 'text/javascript'; po.async = true;
po.src = 'https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js';
var s = document.getElementsByTagName('script')[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(po, s);
})();
</script>

Correct. And as you can see it works perfectly well so it's hard to troubleshoot.

The module is running on our site as well and the button works so we have no way to troubleshoot as we can't replicate the trouble itself.
