Does your module allow for property agent listings to be rewritten? If so, is there a separate provider plugin or how is this achieved with Ventrian Property Agent. I am considering buying the module, but the primary application would be rewriting PA.

Thanks

I found the Ventrian Property Agent Plug in and have enabled it in the trial version of the rewriter, however, there are no options available to configure the plug in after clicking on the Edit function of the plug in. I'm attempting to decide if this module will do what I want, but need to evaluate the plug in. Is this an issue with the trial version or is this something else? How does one configure the Ventrian PA plugin?

Thanks

It appears that the plug is affecting the property display by changing the url to the following format: /horses-for-sale/4500.aspx

In other words, instead of using the title for the property, it's giving it a number. Can this be configured so that the title - or some other more relevant name is selected?

Also, I noticed than when switched to extensionless urls, my main search and display page for Ventrian redirects to the login page. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks.

There is a plugin for Property Agent. Works with version 4.2 of the provider.
You can run it in trial mode.

Yeah, as mentioned above. I found the plug in, but the Edit function doesn't allow the plug in to be configured. How can I change the way it is listing my urls so that it includes the title of the property instead of just a number?

Thanks

The plugin rewrites with a title used in URL.
You must turn off any other rewrites that you might have running.
Turn off the rewrites in PA (if any).

To run with no extension you might need to take some extra steps depending on IIS version.
test with standard extenion to start with.
It asks for login because you put the provider on an admin only page - should be a page with view permission for all users.

I installed the PA and created sample post.
The module is set to run extensionless:

Post title is being used in URL just as it should.

It's necessary to turn the SEO option Rewrite to OFF (uncheck) in PA settings.

Ok. In PA I've taken out any settings I can find related to SEO, but no luck. Can you tell me exactly what would have to be turned "off" in order for it to work? There is no setting for turning off the SEO settings. Sorry, I might just be missing it or something.

I made sure that my writer is on a page that is publicly accessible and when I click on the PA main page it now gives me a 404 error. For some reason it doesn't like the main PA page or for that matter, my main Active Social groups page.

Edit Layout Setting, scroll all the way down and you'll find the SEO section.

So it should work exactly as on my test portal.
I'm running PA 1.7.81 and provider/plugin 4.2.x

Well...don't know quite what to say as to why it's not working. Would you take a look and see if you can spot an explanation. I really like this module and I'd like to use it if I can get this working.

I can provide login credentials if you want them.
