I have searched around help and the product. I can't seemed to determine how the XLS file should be formatted so that I can successfully import users. For each user, I have a userID, fname, lname and email address. Want to upload that information, have a password generated, then allow the users to update the rest of the information.

I was thinking it would allow me to map to fields as I went thru the import process, but obviously that isn't how it works. Can someone point me to where I can determine this?

Sorry in advance if I am missing the obvious (i searched thru online help, forums, etc), couldn't find the format I need to use.

The free format with fields mapping is available in User Manager Suite.
If you purchased the MMS module in the last 60 days you are entitled to free upgrade.
Please email support@ with the proof of purchase if that's the case.

Otherwise please export some records to see the required format.

Thank you for the response.

One of the things I tried early on was to export the existing user into a file and then copy the new users into that exact format. When I click on Begin Upload, its processes and then nothing. No users, no messages or anything.

I have a Gold membership and I downloaded the UMS, haven't been able to locate the free format with fields mapping in there yet.

I purchased MMS module about 4 days ago.

If you have any other guidance, let me know.

Thank you,m

If you have UMS please use it instead but only if you have dnn 5.4.x
The free format option is on the file import tab - about in the middle of the form.
You can also email the import file to support@ and I'll check the format on MMS.
Remember that all three worksheets must exist in the import file even if you don't have any info for roles and user in role.
