I've discovered a significant bug in Portal Control Panel. If you right click on an item without left clicking first (thus selecting it) and select "Get Data" the program will get the module data and allow you update it. However, if there is no other module selected, when you click update nothing gets updated (because nothing is selected). What is worse though is that if a different module is selected from the one you right clicked on and updated, it will update the WRONG module (the one selected). When I right click and select Get Data, the program should select the entry I just right clicked on and it got data for. |

The "Get Data" loads info for the selected module. This is done on purpose so that there is no mistake which module is being processed. This is two-step process: select the module that you want to process and load data for it. Right clicking does not select tree node. |

Get Data does NOT load info for the selected node, it loads info for the node you right click on, whether it is selected or not. You're right that right clicking does not SELECT the tree node but it WILL get the data for the tree node, whether it is actually selected or not! If you update that tree node, but no node is selected, nothing will happen. BUT if there is a different tree node selected, it will UPDATE THE WRONG TREE NODE! I've tested it and it happens. Right click on an unselected tree node and select Get Data. Change the module title and click update. Refresh the tree node. The module title is not changed. Now right click on an unselected tree node and select Get Data. Left click on a different node Change the module title and click Update The selected module will be changed, not the one you right clicked on and thought you were changing. |

DNN v4.9.5 PCP v2.0.14 Thanks. While you're at it I found another problem. If a module title is blank, there is nothing to click on the select the module. Could you make the icon clickable/selectable as well? BTW, its a great module! Really useful! |
